Fifteen real bios below, sorted by situation. Find the one closest to your life, copy it, then change the details so it's actually about you. There's a short section at the bottom on which parts matter most.
Student and college bios
I'm currently in college studying communications and honestly still figuring out what I want to do after graduation lol. I'm pretty easygoing and probably a little shy when I first meet someone. Once I'm comfortable though, I talk A LOT. I like coffee dates, trying new restaurants, random drives, and finding little places around the city that I didn't know existed. I'm also a huge procrastinator when it comes to school, so if you're the type who actually has their life together, you might have to keep me on track 😂
College student, full time overthinker, part time social butterfly. I'm studying business and hoping to eventually start something of my own. I like going out but I'm not really a club every weekend kind of girl. Give me dinner, wine, good conversation and I'm happy. I'm pretty affectionate once I get comfortable with someone and I really appreciate a man who is confident without feeling the need to prove it all the time.
I'm finishing up school and trying to enjoy this stage of life before it gets too serious. I love going to museums, concerts, brunch with my friends and basically anything that gives me an excuse to dress up a little. I'm usually quiet at first and I can be awkward when I like someone lol. Looking for someone I genuinely enjoy spending time with, not just another person to text all day.
Working professional bios
I work full time, so my schedule can be a little crazy during the week, but I definitely know how to make time for the right person. I'm independent, ambitious and probably more sarcastic than I should be. I love getting dressed up for dinner but I'm equally happy ordering takeout and watching something terrible on Netflix. I'm at a point where I value peace, good conversation and someone who actually follows through on what they say.
I have a career I actually enjoy, which I'm very grateful for, although some days I wonder why I answer emails for a living 😂. Outside of work I'm usually at the gym, trying a new restaurant, reading, or planning my next little escape from the city. I'm pretty feminine but definitely have a stubborn side. I'm looking for something comfortable and mutually beneficial with someone mature, generous and fun to be around.
I'm the girl who has her calendar color coded and still somehow forgets where she put her keys. I work in a pretty demanding field and spend most of my weekdays focused on work, so when I'm off I like to actually enjoy myself. Good food, cocktails, weekend trips and conversations that last way too long are my thing. Not looking to rush into anything. I'd rather meet someone and see if there's actually a connection.
Online-only bios
I'm here for something that's primarily online and I want to be upfront about that from the beginning. I'm comfortable chatting, getting to know each other, video calls once we're comfortable and keeping things fun without needing to meet in person. I'm pretty easy to talk to and probably spend way too much time on my phone anyway lol. I like good conversation, flirting and feeling like there's an actual person on the other side of the screen.
Definitely looking for an online connection rather than traditional dates. My schedule and personal situation make meeting up difficult, so I'd rather be honest about it than waste anyone's time. I'm playful, a little sarcastic and I love getting to know someone through long conversations. If you're looking for someone to actually talk to and not just exchange two messages with, we might get along.
Introverted and low-key bios
I'm probably not the person you're going to see dancing on a table at 2am 😂. I'm more of a quiet dinner, cozy hotel, movie, bookstore, walk around the city kind of girl. I'm pretty introverted and sometimes need a little time to warm up to people, but once I do I'm very affectionate and talkative. I appreciate people who don't feel the need to fill every silence. Comfortable silence is underrated.
A little shy. Very observant. Slightly sarcastic. That's probably the easiest way to describe me. I don't need something extravagant every time we see each other. I actually enjoy simple dates where we can sit somewhere nice and talk for hours. I'm not great at selling myself in a bio lol, so you'll probably have to get to know me to figure out the rest.
I'm definitely more introverted than outgoing. Big parties aren't really my thing and I'd choose a quiet restaurant over a crowded club almost every time. I love reading, coffee shops, late night conversations and spontaneous little adventures when I'm comfortable enough to say yes. Looking for someone patient, respectful and confident enough to let things develop naturally.
Creative bios
I'm one of those people who starts five creative projects and finishes maybe two of them 😂. I love photography, painting, music and anything where I can make something instead of just consuming it. I also spend way too much time in art galleries and little independent shops. I'm curious about people and probably ask too many questions. Looking for someone interesting who has stories to tell and doesn't take themselves too seriously.
Currently pretending that all my random notebooks are actually organized. I write, take pictures, make little videos and occasionally convince myself I'm going to learn another instrument. I love live music, museums, old movies and finding weird little places that aren't all over Instagram. I'm affectionate, curious and probably a little eccentric. I'd rather have an interesting conversation over dinner than make small talk for three hours.
Travel-focused bios
Travel is probably my biggest weakness. If you tell me there's a cheap flight somewhere I've never been, I will immediately start looking at hotels 😂. I've been lucky enough to see a few places already but my list is still ridiculously long. I love good food, beautiful hotels, wandering around without much of a plan and finding places that aren't in every tourist guide. Looking for someone who enjoys experiences as much as I do.
I'm happiest when I have a trip planned. It doesn't have to be somewhere exotic either — give me a cute hotel, good food and somewhere I've never explored and I'm happy. I've done the whole work-home-work routine and realized I don't want my life to feel like that. I'm pretty laid back, affectionate and love laughing with someone I'm comfortable with. Bonus points if you have a passport that's getting some use.
What to change before you use one
The three things that have to be yours
What you study, or what you do. "Communications" and "business" are placeholders. Swap in the real thing, because it's the detail people ask about first.
One specific thing you actually like. Not "good food", but the restaurant you keep going back to. Not "travel", but the country still on your list. Specifics are what someone replies to.
One true small flaw. The bios above use procrastination, overthinking, losing keys. Use yours. If you borrow someone else's you'll be answering questions about a habit you don't have.
Why pasting it word-for-word stops working
These bios are public. Other people are reading this page.
If you paste one unchanged, you're sharing a profile with everyone else who did, and the people browsing see a lot of profiles. A bio that turns up twice reads as a template both times.
Changing three details takes two minutes and makes it yours.
Somewhere to actually use it A bio only works if the people reading it are clear about what they want too. That's what we built Sugary Match for, and it's free for sugar babies, so you can put your profile up and see who's out there without paying anything. Create a free profile →
What these 15 bios have in common
They're shorter than the advice says
Most guides tell you to write 100 to 150 words. These average 72, and the longest is 91.
Shorter works because a bio is scanned, not read. Two or three specific things someone can ask you about beats a paragraph nobody finishes.
Six of them admit a flaw
They own up to being a procrastinator, an overthinker, shy, awkward, stubborn, bad at selling themselves.
Standard advice says never show weakness. But a small honest flaw does something a polished bio can't: it makes the rest believable. "I'm not great at selling myself in a bio lol" tells you more about someone than three sentences of adjectives.
It also matters later. A profile that admits you're a bit shy makes the first message easier, because you're not performing something you'll have to keep up.
Only one mentions money
One bio out of fifteen says "mutually beneficial." None mention allowance, support, or gifts.
That isn't squeamishness. It's that the bio's job is getting someone interested enough to message you. The arrangement gets discussed in conversation, not advertised on a profile.
They use specific details, not adjectives
"I'm the girl who has her calendar color coded and still somehow forgets where she put her keys."
She could have written "organised but scatterbrained." Instead you can picture her. That's the whole difference between a bio that gets messages and one that doesn't.
Common questions
How long should a sugar baby bio be? Between about 60 and 90 words. Most advice says 100–150, but the real bios above average 72 and none is over 91. Short and specific beats long and general.
Should I mention what I'm looking for financially? No. One of the fifteen bios above says "mutually beneficial" and that's as far as any of them goes. Save it for conversation.
Can I use one of these word for word? You can, but change the three details in the section above. Other people are reading this page and pasting the same bios.
Is it okay to say I'm new to this? Yes. Several of these bios admit something, whether being shy, awkward or a procrastinator, and it makes them read as real rather than written for an audience.
What about emoji? Five of the fifteen use them. Most guides say don't. One or two are fine; a bio made mostly of emoji isn't.
Do I need a different bio for each platform? Not really. Change the length if a site gives you less room, but the same three specific details work everywhere.
Before you post it
Pick the one closest to your situation, change your subject or job, one thing you genuinely like, and one small true flaw. That's it.
A bio that sounds like you is easier to keep up than one that doesn't.
